About Fort Stewart 3rd ID Museum

The 3rd Infantry Division Museum occupies more than 14,000 square feet at Fort Stewart, Georgia, and presents the military history of the post and the division through multiple galleries. An interactive gallery traces the origins of Camp Stewart and its progression to Fort Stewart, while a dedicated 3rd Infantry Division gallery presents the unit's history through exhibits and portraits highlighting individual unit histories. Military vehicles from different eras are on display outside the museum. Future expansions will add an Airfields and Aviation gallery and further expand the 3rd Infantry Division gallery. The museum welcomes visitors on Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and on the first Saturday of each month. The museum also hosts events and meetings. General admission is free. Non-Department of Defense card holders can access the installation through the visitor control center.
