About Midway Museum
Midway Museum houses an extensive collection of 18th- and 19th-century heirloom furnishings, paintings, historical documents, and artifacts displayed on historic grounds four miles from I-95 south of Savannah. Visitors take guided 45-minute tours Tuesday through Saturday, walking through the museum's replica colonial home to view period pieces and an authentic colonial kitchen. Tours are limited to ten visitors at a time unless a group is booked in advance. The museum bookstore offers hard-to-find books on Liberty County history. After the indoor tour, guests can walk to the adjacent 1792 Midway Church and its walled cemetery containing graves of Revolutionary War patriots; separate cemetery tours can be arranged for an additional fee. Children under five enter free, while older children and adults pay admission prices published on themidwaymuseum.org. The museum sits in Midway's historic district on Highway 17 between Savannah and Darien in Liberty County.
