About A. W. Jones Heritage Center

The A.W. Jones Heritage Center, headquarters of the Coastal Georgia Historical Society since 2008, serves as a ticket hub and museum complex on St. Simons Island. Visitors buy admission to the St. Simons Lighthouse Museum and World War II Home Front Museum, then explore the Center's own Gallery Hall exhibit on local history and watch "The Light and Life of a Lighthouse," a video about the lighthouse's past, in the Stembler Theater. The Museum Store stocks children's gifts, lighthouse souvenirs, and coastal history books. The Event Hall hosts lectures, educational programs, and the Chautauqua Lecture Series on topics like American Revolution legacies. A research library serves researchers by appointment. Combination museum admission costs $20 for adults (saving $8 per ticket versus individual prices) or $10 for ages 6–12 (saving $2 per ticket).
