About Anchor Excursions

Anchor Excursions operates guided boat tours through the waterways surrounding St. Simons Island, Sea Island, and Jekyll Island in Georgia. Visitors board boats to explore local history and wildlife on the water. The Golden Isles History tour runs two hours and covers stories of the Timucuan Indians, Spanish settlers, General James Oglethorpe, Fort Frederica, and Christ Church while passengers watch for dolphins in St. Simons Sound. A smaller eco-tour accommodates up to six passengers and allows customized routes through scenic waterways with opportunities to encounter local wildlife. The Sunset Hibachi Cruise sails at dusk aboard the Emmeline, offering a live hibachi-style dinner with drinks while guests observe dolphins against the sunset. Tours operate Wednesday through Sunday. Tickets are sold online through the company's website.
