About Georgia Tidewater Outfitters
Georgia Tidewater Outfitters operates guided boat tours from Darien aboard the Delta Belle, a 2022 30-foot catamaran departing minutes from the Lower Altamaha River Delta and its virtually uninhabited barrier islands. Visitors observe migratory birds and wading species, explore Fort King George and other historic structures, and navigate river sections resembling environments from the Native American era. The outfitter offers nature tours through freshwater swamps and estuaries, wine tours featuring tastings at Horse Creek Winery and Waterfront Wine & Gourmet, and private charters for groups or corporate events. Captains Kim and Paul Medders, a high school biology teacher and marine biologist respectively, lead tours through coastal waters and remote beaches.
