Firehouse Arts Center in Bainbridge is a historic 1914 Mission-style building that now serves as a cultural center featuring rotating art exhibitions and community creative programs. Visitors explore galleries including the Kirbo Regional Art Gallery and Shop, the Callahan Artist Alliance Gallery, and the Jimmy Harrell Gallery, which display works by regional artists. The center hosts the Photography Pin-Up Show, where participants of all skill levels can display landscape, still life, abstract, architecture, and wildlife photographs in 8-by-10-inch prints or smaller. The annual Chalk Walk Contest invites individuals and groups to create sidewalk art on assigned squares in front of the building and courthouse. The facility also offers art classrooms for instruction and programs like the Firehouse Art Club for creative activities. The building includes the Callahan Room for events. Located in Downtown Bainbridge's National Historic District, the arts center represents the restoration of a former firehouse into an active community cultural venue.
