The Syd Blackmarr Arts Center in Tifton is a 120-year-old Victorian Gothic building that hosts exhibitions, classes, and creative programs for visitors of all ages. The center presents rotating exhibits including the Fiesta del Pueblo Exhibit and Syd Arts Collective Exhibit, alongside hands-on activities like pottery, glassblowing, and painting classes. Visitors can participate in Photography for Beginners, Kids Create sessions, and specialized workshops such as Paint and Sip and Chocolate and a Canvas. The historic 3,500 square-foot building features twenty-four stained and fired glass windows, a vaulted ceiling supported by massive arched buttresses, and hand-carved interior details crafted from heart pine lumber. The center operates through the Tifton Council for the Arts, a nonprofit organization offering arts education and community programming. The building originally served as a Methodist church constructed in 1900 and remains a cultural landmark in downtown Tifton.
