About Eagle Mining
Eagle Mining Co. in Julian, California offers genuine gold panning tours where visitors experience life as early California miners did. The site preserves and displays period tools, antique engines, vintage trucks and cars, and explains old milling and extraction processes. Guests explore 1,000 feet of underground tunnels beneath 24 acres of old prospect land dotted with bearing quartz veins. A museum, rock shop, simulated Boothill, and gold panning facility are available on the grounds. The attraction accommodates individual visitors as well as groups, including geology groups, college groups, schools, and bus tours. Amenities include a picnic area, restrooms, and parking.
