About Volcan Valley Apple Farm
Volcan Valley Apple Farm is a U-Pick orchard in Julian, California where visitors pick their own apples from more than 7,000 trellis-trained trees across ten scenic acres. The trellis system keeps fruit at arm's height so children and adults of all heights can reach without ladders. Seven apple varieties ripen in waves throughout the harvest season, with rows labeled by type so pickers know exactly what they are selecting. The orchard welcomes dogs on leash, accommodates strollers and wagons on wide rows, and grows all apples without chemicals. Most families spend one to two hours picking, and shaded picnic tables are available for those bringing lunch. Admission is charged per person, with picking bags sold at the gate, and children five and under receive free admission with a paying adult. The farm is located 2.4 miles north of downtown Julian.
