About Cuyamaca Rancho State Park

Cuyamaca Rancho State Park, located east of San Diego near Julian, features more than 100 miles of riding and hiking trails across landscape that spans from coastal views to desert terrain. The Cuyamaca Peak Trail offers visitors spectacular vistas of the Pacific coastline. The park operates from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily and welcomes dogs in campgrounds and on designated paved park roads. Visitors can explore the park's oak and conifer forests, grasslands, and meadows while accessing multiple trailheads throughout the property. Camping sites are available for reservation, with availability updated throughout the week. Day-use vehicle entry costs $10, though visitors age 62 or older qualify for discounted day-use entry at $9. Disabled visitors holding a State Parks Disabled Discount Pass receive 50 percent off vehicle day-use and family camping fees.
