About Sky Falconry

Sky Falconry is a federally licensed falconry school in the Alpine mountains where visitors participate in hands-on experiences free flying birds of prey. The 40-acre ranch sits at 2,500 feet elevation with views of Cleveland National Forest and the distant coast. Guests put on a glove and fly trained hawks, falcons, and owls while learning about raptor biology, conservation, and the history of falconry as one of the world's oldest hunting traditions. The Basic Falconry Lesson introduces visitors to falconry fundamentals through field games and raptor photography. Hawk Walks offer interactive trails where participants fly a hawk multiple times across meadows, oak groves, and giant boulders, sometimes with the bird perched on their glove. The Owl and Falcon Encounter allows guests to free fly a falcon and handle an owl while learning how diurnal and nocturnal raptors differ. Private Hawk Walks and Private Raptor Experiences cater to groups seeking intimate encounters in the natural habitat. Master Falconers lead all activities.
