Sikes Adobe Historic Farmstead is a State Point of Historic Interest in Escondido that preserves a restored adobe and wood-framed farmhouse from the 1870s. The restoration showcases the legacy of dry farming in the late 19th century on territory that once belonged to the native Kumeyaay people and later served as grazing lands during the Mexican California era. The farmhouse was severely damaged during the Witch Creek Fire in 2007 but underwent rebuilding and re-opening.
