About Darby Safari

Darby Safari in Charlotte is an exotic animal petting zoo where visitors take a guided walking tour to meet, pet, and feed exotic animals. The 60-minute Safari Friends Walking Tour includes encounters with capybaras, zebras, lemurs, foxes, kangaroos, porcupines, and Patagonian cavies. General admission includes a generous feed bucket for each visitor. Additional animal encounters are available for an extra charge, allowing guests to add specialized experiences to their tour. The facility also offers the Kit and Caboodle Tour, a two- to two-and-a-half-hour all-inclusive experience combining the guided safari tour with an extended hands-on animal encounter session. Darby Safari operates as a separate location from Darby Acres Farm, which houses farm animals instead. Tickets are sold online through the venue's website. The attraction suits families and individuals seeking direct interaction with exotic animals in a guided setting.
