Clyde Museum in Clyde, Ohio invites visitors to explore local history through its collections of artifacts and interactive displays. Children and teens can dress up in Civil War clothing at the interactive exhibits, while all visitors examine Native American artifacts including arrowheads, tools, tomahawk heads, clay pipes, and bowls. The museum displays transportation history featuring a 1904 Elmore Doctor's Runabout car, a 1920 Clydesdale Fire Truck, and a 1926 Ford Model T fire truck. Military history spans the War of 1812, Civil War, Indian Wars, Spanish-American War, World War 1, World War 2, and Vietnam War through artifacts and relics. Visitors see objects belonging to General James B. McPherson, including his sword and military revolver, and items from author Sherwood Anderson. The museum also exhibits signatures of President Andrew Jackson and Richard Nixon. School yearbooks from Clyde-Green Springs Schools and St. Mary's school are available to view. Research materials on local businesses, organizations, families, and genealogy can be studied on the premises.
