Northwest Ohio Railroad Preservation and Riverside Train is a volunteer-run museum in Findlay dedicated to preserving railroad history through exhibits and hands-on experiences. Visitors ride quarter-scale trains, explore full-size rolling stock including a caboose, box car, and diesel switch engine, and visit a relocated railroad depot. The museum displays model trains on multiple scales: a Lionel layout, an HO layout, and an N scale layout. This combination of model-size, quarter-scale, and full-scale exhibits demonstrates how railroads shaped local and national history. The organization, established in 1998 as a nonprofit, also operates seasonal events such as Pumpkin Train rides. A gift shop is available on-site. The museum suits railroad enthusiasts of all ages and those interested in transportation history, offering both casual viewing and interactive train rides that illustrate the practical importance of railroads to everyday life.
