Visitors explore the restored 1847 McKinnis House, a 19th-century garden, and nearby outbuildings that represent the area's pioneering heritage. Costumed interpreters conduct living history programs throughout the year, portraying McKinnis family members and neighbors to demonstrate 19th-century life. The property offers multiple trails for hiking and exploration, including nature trails, a multi-use trail, and a bridle trail called the Backwoods Trail. An activity barn, picnic shelter, playground, and heritage trail provide additional ways to experience the landscape.
