University of Findlay's Mazza Museum houses the world's largest collection of original artwork by children's book illustrators, with more than 18,000 pieces total. Visitors explore six galleries displaying over 300 works at any time, including pieces in the Dana Younger Gallery, Miller Gallery, Wilson Gallery, Miles Gallery, Reinhardt Gallery, and Laiho Gallery. Each artwork includes a plaque noting the artist's name, book title, creation date, media used, and sponsor. The museum promotes literacy through education programs, rotating exhibitions, traveling exhibits, and artist visits where illustrators share their creative process. A STEAM Education Center supports hands-on learning. The museum offers guided tours designed for both adults and children, available by request. General admission is free during regular hours. The museum is located in the Gardner Fine Arts Pavilion on the University of Findlay campus in Findlay.
