The Wood County Museum in Bowling Green presents the history of Wood County through self-guided tours of the original County Poor Farm complex and its grounds. Visitors explore the Infirmary, Paupers' Cemetery, Lunatic Asylum, Pestilence House, and Ice House, connecting local history to present-day life. The museum features revolving exhibits designed to spark discussion about how the past relates to contemporary issues. The grounds themselves serve as a public park open daily, providing space for photographers and educational projects. Throughout the year, the museum hosts events and activities for visitors of all ages. A gift shop stocks historical books, local art and foods, and regional gifts. The museum is handicap accessible with an elevator, accessible restrooms, ample parking, and limited wheelchairs available. The museum building keeps regular weekday and Saturday hours; the grounds remain open from early morning until sunset daily.
