About Slater Family Ice Arena

Slater Family Ice Arena in Bowling Green, Ohio, is an ice skating facility on the BGSU campus where visitors skate on a full sheet of ice. The arena hosts Public Skate sessions for recreational skating, Learn to Skate lessons for beginners, and Youth Hockey programs for young players developing their skills. Figure Skating classes are also available, along with an Adult Hockey Program for recreational league play. The facility is home to the NCAA Division I Falcon Hockey team and houses multiple high school hockey teams, the Bowling Green Skating Club, and the Bowling Green Youth Hockey Association. Visitors can register online for drop-in skating sessions, classes, and leagues through the DaySmart Recreation app or website. The Newlove Pro Shop on-site sells skating equipment and supplies. The arena hosts special events throughout the year and serves both university athletes and the local community.
