About Caverns of Sonora
Caverns of Sonora is an underground cave system located 15 miles southwest of Sonora, Texas, where visitors explore highly decorated chambers on guided tours. The cave features the Crystal Palace, the most beautiful room on the tour, along with the Helictite Room and Halo Lake, a pool surrounded by a band of calcite crystal. Visitors encounter flowstone formations and water droplets throughout the caverns, and legend holds that being kissed by a drop of water brings good luck. The attraction offers multiple tour options, including a Discovery Challenge Tour for those wanting a more adventurous experience and a Photography Tour allowing extended time in each room. The ranch-inspired grounds include a gift shop, gemstone panning, hiking trails, and homemade fudge. Camping and RV facilities are available on-site. Tickets are sold online through the venue's website.
