About River Bend Nature Center

River Bend Nature Center in Wichita Falls offers trails, a conservatory with animals in naturalistic settings, and wildlife viewing along the Wichita River ecosystem. Visitors participate in field trips, STEM and STEAM programs, badge and patch programs, Creature Feature activities, Thursday Nature Programs, and Sip N' Science events. The center hosts private group tours and rental options for birthdays, weddings, and special events including ElectriCritters Holiday Parties. Eco-Kit Adventures extend learning beyond visits. Not-So-Scary Halloween!

The 20th Annual Not-So-Scary Halloween features family-friendly fun on Friday, October 16, from 6–9 PM, including a costume contest with prizes at 7:30 PM, candy walk, games, crafts, treats, and a Flashlight Fun Trail through the United Children's Garden.
