Riverside Nature Center in Kerrville is a natural area where visitors explore Texas native plants, birds, and wildlife through gardens and walking paths. The center offers Sprouts, a weekly program for parents and preschoolers featuring nature discovery through storytelling. Wildflower Bunch sessions teach visitors about local flora and plant propagation while conducting bloom searches in the garden. Bird Walk and Talk events, led by experienced bird enthusiasts, take place monthly. The center hosts Riverside Rangers, a junior naturalist program offering youth outdoor education and nature exploration. NEd Talks cover environmental topics such as volunteer severe weather spotting. Visitors can also meet one-on-one with a Texas Master Naturalist to ask environmental questions. The center operates Monday through Saturday, with activities and programs designed to build appreciation for the region's natural resources, habitats, and wildlife among children, families, and adults.
