About Cambridge Natural History Museum

Cambridge Natural History Museum invites visitors to explore fossils, rocks, minerals, and artifacts that tell the story of life and geology on Earth. Founded in 2024 by paleontology enthusiast Anderson Taylor, the museum features more than a dozen exhibits displaying fossils, rocks, minerals, taxidermy specimens, and other natural history items. Visitors can view Illinois fossil specimens in the rocks and minerals gallery and examine the growing collection that began with a single display case. The museum welcomes schools, daycares, families, and individual visitors who come by appointment or during announced hours. General admission is free. The hands-on museum operates in Cambridge, Illinois, where it occupies its own building as the community continues to support its expansion and educational mission.
