About Children's Museum of Illinois

Children's Museum of Illinois occupies a two-story, 27,000 square foot facility in Decatur where visitors engage with over sixty hands-on exhibits and activities designed for children ages two to ten. Exhibits include an art studio, music room, grocery store simulation, doctor's office, and construction zone that encourage healthy habits and critical thinking through real-world scenarios. Visitors move through the space at their own pace, with most families spending one to two hours exploring. A Quiet Room on the second floor provides a cozy space for nursing and diaper changes. The museum permits outside food and drink in the Mess Hall area on the second floor and offers free locker use for bags and personal items. Families with EBT, LINK, SNAP or WIC benefits receive 75 percent off admission; first responders, active military and seniors each receive 50 percent off. Hours and ticket prices are available at cmofil.org.
