About Discovery Depot Children's Museum
Discovery Depot Children's Museum in Galesburg provides hands-on learning exhibits where children ages one through twelve explore, play, and develop skills across literacy, science, engineering, technology, mathematics, fine arts, and cultural education. The museum features a large-scale Ferris Wheel and Ferris Acres combine farm exhibit, along with Ferris Junction Village where children's imaginations can expand through imaginative play. Blick Art Studio on the first floor serves young artists, while the second floor includes the WAVES exhibit. The museum also operates a science lab and offers weekly, monthly, and weekend programming for various ages and interests. Children typically spend two to four hours exploring the diverse exhibits and programs. Field trips are available for school groups, and birthday parties can be hosted in the museum's classroom space. The museum is located in downtown Galesburg, near the Amtrak Station and close to Seminary Street dining and retail options.
