Apple Hill Farm: Tickets Required is a working alpaca and fiber farm on a mountaintop in Banner Elk, North Carolina, where visitors take guided walking tours lasting 45 to 60 minutes to learn about the animals and how each has a job and purpose on the farm. Tour groups encounter alpacas, llamas, angora goats, donkeys, cows, horses, pigs, and chickens, with opportunities to pet donkeys and feed goats, though animal interactions depend on whether each animal chooses to participate. The farm also hosts educational events including needle felting classes and angora goat shearing demonstrations. Advanced tickets are required to visit and are sold online through the venue's website. Season pass members can share a Bring-A-Friend code with family or friends, who receive $2 off their tour fees when registering with that code. The farm publishes four admission prices online for different age groups and military visitors.
