About Boyd Mountain Christmas Tree Farm
Boyd Mountain Christmas Tree Farm in Waynesville invites visitors to select and cut their own Fraser fir Christmas trees from rolling mountain hillsides. Guests can walk the fields with a bow saw to harvest their tree, or flag a worker to cut it for them. The farm also offers fresh-cut trees already harvested and displayed under a tent, plus larger specimens in a shed. Beyond trees, the farm sells handcrafted wreaths made from fresh Fraser fir trimmings, along with garland, tree skirts, stands, and root ball trees. Santa visits on select weekends throughout the season. The property spans 175 acres on family-owned land that has been home to the Boyd family for generations, featuring an early-1900s white farmhouse and historic log cabins. The farm sits near Maggie Valley outside Waynesville, accessible via Highway 276 from Asheville and Knoxville.
