About Apple Hill Orchard and Cider Mill
Apple Hill Orchard and Cider Mill is a family-owned farm in Burke County where visitors pick their own apples directly from the trees or purchase pre-picked fruit. The orchard has been operated by five generations of the Prewitt family. The on-site farm market stocks 23 varieties of apples, award-winning cider pressed on the farm, local honey, jams, jellies, and gourmet foods. The farmhouse bakery produces fresh cider donuts, fried apple pies, apple cakes, breads, and brittle made from scratch daily. The farm market requires no reservation and welcomes walk-in visitors. Pick-your-own activities require an orchard access pass, which the farm publishes pricing for online. Apple Hill Orchard is located south of Morganton, four miles from Interstate 40, between Charlotte and Asheville.
