About USS LCS(L) 102

USS LCS(L) 102 is a restored World War II landing craft support vessel now operating as a floating museum ship on Mare Island near Vallejo. Visitors tour all areas of the ship, including the engine room and pilothouse, led by knowledgeable tour guides who explain the vessel's role during the war. The museum preserves the LCS-102 and educates the public about Landing Craft Support vessels and the sailors who served aboard them. The ship has been maintained and restored to its original World War II specifications since returning to the United States in 2007. The museum serves as a memorial to LCS sailors, officers and men who died in service. Touring the vessel works well for history enthusiasts and military history buffs of all ages who want to explore a genuine naval warship. The LCS-102 is docked on Mare Island in the Vallejo area and currently is temporarily closed while undergoing repairs.
