About The Maridon Museum
The Maridon Museum in Butler is the only museum in Western Pennsylvania dedicated exclusively to Asian art and culture alongside German Meissen porcelain. Visitors explore a permanent collection of over 800 art objects spanning from the Neolithic Period to contemporary work. The collection includes jade and ivory sculptures, tapestries, landscape paintings, scrolls, and ceramic artifacts. A visit might involve viewing rotating exhibits, such as recent displays of ivory objects, or participating in docent-led tours. The museum also hosts events including book club discussions that explore global culture. Visitors can attend lectures and educational programs throughout the year. Group visits and private event rentals are available. The museum operates Wednesday through Saturday with admission charged at published prices available online.
