About The Flat Rock Archive Museum

The Flat Rock Archive Museum preserves and shares rural African American history in Stonecrest, Georgia. Visitors tour the T.A. Bryant, Sr. House, a 20th-century Georgian cottage built in 1917, along with its associated barn, smokehouse, and outhouse. The archive maintains the Historic Flat Rock Cemetery, which contains burials dating back to enslaved people and represents centuries of the Flat Rock community's history. Guided cemetery tours are available during colder months, with records accessible through Find a Grave. Schools, scout groups, homeschool families, and assisted living homes can book customized field trips aligned with curriculum needs. Individual visitors and families can explore the grounds on Saturdays, participate in volunteer opportunities, or attend special programs hosted throughout the year. The museum offers a way to walk through African American history on a personal or educational level in this growing community east of Atlanta.
