About Collectible and Antique Chair Gallery
The Collectible and Antique Chair Gallery in Stone Mountain showcases a Guinness World Record collection of miniature chairs, a specialized museum focused on these diminutive furnishings rather than doll furniture. Opened in 2009 by Barbara H. Hartsfield, the museum holds over 3,000 miniature chairs, a record established in 2008. The three-room museum and gift shop occupies a renovated historic house constructed in 1850 on Main Street in historic Stone Mountain Village, near Stone Mountain Park. The building itself survived Sherman's army attack during the Civil War. The museum has received coverage in local, national, and international publications and appears on the Antique Trader Magazine map of national roadside attractions highlighting unique museums throughout the United States. Historic Stone Mountain Village is listed in the National Registry of interesting places to visit. The gallery appeals to collectors, antique enthusiasts, and visitors seeking distinctive regional attractions in the Southeastern region.
