North Georgia Live Steamers operates the Conyers & Hightower Trail Railroad, where visitors ride different types of live steam trains. The railroad runs on select Saturdays throughout the year, with trains operating from early afternoon to late afternoon. Riders must be at least eighteen months old to participate. The attraction sits on more than thirty acres of property in Conyers, Georgia. When not hosting public train rides, the organization opens for visitors interested in learning about railroad operations and volunteer workdays. During workdays, volunteers work on the railroad, railroad equipment, and special projects across the property. Groups can arrange visits during train ride days, workdays, or scheduled appointments. The organization is a non-profit dedicated to preserving and operating live steam railroad equipment.
Hours: 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
