Sunset State Beach, located 16 miles south of Santa Cruz near Watsonville, features pine trees, mountainous sand dunes, and oceanside picnic spots bordered by agricultural fields. Visitors camp at the park or use day-use areas, with facilities accommodating trailers and motorhomes up to 31 feet long. The park hosts programs including Little Rangers and Junior Rangers events.
