Stone Barns Center for Food & Agriculture operates Explore Tours where visitors walk the campus with farmers and chefs as guides to learn about sustainable agriculture and the connection to partner restaurant Blue Hill. The nonprofit farm and research center, founded in 2004, invites guests to explore grounds, visit the Orientation Center, and shop in the Cafeteria and Market without reservations. The campus spans over 450 acres managed with the Rockefeller State Park Preserve, where livestock including cattle, chickens, pigs, and goats support soil health through rotational grazing. Seasonal workshops and dining experiences showcase the farm's work in crop varieties, whole grain baking, preservation, and butchery. A visit suits anyone interested in ecological food systems and regional agriculture. The center is located in Tarrytown, New York, thirty miles north of New York City.
