About St. Petersburg College (SPC) - Planetarium
St. Petersburg College Planetarium in St. Petersburg offers public shows featuring live astronomy narration and computer-controlled projector displays. Resident astronomer Dr. Craig Joseph hosts presentations about the night sky and celestial objects such as Saturn and fall constellations. The planetarium seats 46 visitors on a walk-in basis with no reservations required. Shows last approximately 45 minutes, and admission is free. Children must be at least 5 years old to attend. The planetarium operates with evening showtimes on Wednesday and Friday when the college is in session. Following Wednesday evening shows, visitors may observe the sky through telescopes on the observation deck, weather permitting. The venue suits families and astronomy enthusiasts seeking educational entertainment about stars and planets.
