About Dunedin History Museum

The Dunedin History Museum, housed in a restored 1924 train depot in downtown Dunedin, invites visitors to explore the community's past through dynamic exhibits and immersive experiences. The main gallery features "Echoes of the Junction," a journey through Dunedin's local heritage, while the "Freedom in Focus" exhibition showcases Florida's role in American history through interactive displays and historic documents, including a community-signed Declaration of Independence. The museum hosts monthly Hands-On History workshops offering activities for all ages, with participants taking home keepsakes. Visitors can also explore Andrews Memorial Chapel, a Victorian gothic-style church built in 1888 from native Florida heart pine, located at the entrance to nearby Hammock Park and listed on the National Register of Historical Places. The museum operates a gift shop and sells tickets online. It suits anyone interested in local history, architecture, or hands-on learning experiences in Dunedin, Florida.
