About Palm Harbor Museum

Palm Harbor Museum occupies the historic Hartley House, built between 1914 and 1919, and tells the story of the Palm Harbor region including Sutherland, Crystal Beach, East Lake, Curlew, Indian Bluff, Ozona and Wall Springs. Operated by the Palm Harbor Historical Society since 1983, the museum presents permanent and changing exhibits exploring the area's ancient native history, environmental landscape, and the nineteenth-century families who settled the region. Visitors explore exhibits about local heritage through photographs, records, journals, genealogies, and furnishings collected by community members over decades. The museum also hosts Family Fun Days and special events including an Annual English Tea and programs under the banner Palm Harbor Museum Presents. Tours are available as docent-led or self-guided experiences. The museum is located at the corner of Belcher and Curlew Roads in Palm Harbor, Florida, and general admission is free.
