About Sonnenberg Gardens & Mansion

Sonnenberg Gardens & Mansion is a 50-acre estate in Canandaigua featuring a Queen Anne Victorian mansion and nine formal gardens open to visitors. The grounds include themed gardens from around the world, a Japanese Garden with teahouse, and a Lord & Burnham Greenhouse Complex. Guests tour the mansion interior, stroll flower-filled gardens, and picnic beneath mature trees. A tram serves visitors with limited mobility. The Gardeners Café and Bay House Gift Shop operate on-site. Customized bus tours led by walking guides offer views of gardens, greenhouses, and mansion, with optional private wine tastings available. The estate hosts seasonal events including the Fall Gardening Forum, Mansion Mysteries theatrical experiences, and a Haunted Stroll. Wine tastings run Friday through Sunday.
