About Shared Adventures

Shared Adventures is a nonprofit organization in Aptos, California dedicated to providing outdoor recreation for people with physical and developmental disabilities. Visitors participate in activities including Day on the Beach, where accessible beach chairs allow people to enter the water and enjoy the ocean. Camp Adventures offer immersive outdoor experiences, while weekly programs such as Science Club at the Santa Cruz Children's Museum of Discovery and Garden Club at Common Roots Farm provide regular engagement. Special events throughout the year include Day in the Park, Skateboard Day, Night to Shine, and MBHTC Spring Faire. The organization facilitates kayaking and rock climbing activities led by trained staff and volunteers. These programs serve individuals living with various physical and developmental challenges, removing barriers to outdoor access and recreation.
