San Jacinto Museum, La Porte

About San Jacinto Museum

San Jacinto Museum sits at One Monument Circle in La Porte, where visitors explore the battlefield, monument, museum galleries, and library documenting Texas independence. A single admission ticket grants access to the TEXAS FOREVER!! film in the Jesse H. Jones Theatre, the special exhibit, the Observation Floor with views across the grounds, and the museum gallery exhibiting Texas history. The site hosts regular programs including Battleground Van Tours, Bird Watching at the Battleground, Family Day events with crafts, Cycling Saturdays, Foraging San Jacinto, and lectures. Visitors with mobility needs can use wheelchairs, and headsets assist hard-of-hearing guests viewing the film. The museum charges admission with separate rates for adults, children, seniors, and military. La Porte residents with proof of residency receive free admission on Thursdays in June and July, according to sanjacinto-museum.org.
