The Samuel Walker Houston Museum and Cultural Center preserves the legacy of educator Samuel Walker Houston, who founded the first training school for African Americans in East Texas in 1906. The museum displays historical memorabilia, photographs, and official documents related to Houston's life and the school's development. The facility also hosts the Annual Black History Program and monthly Bingo events on the fourth Friday at the cultural center.
