About Sam Davis Home
The Sam Davis Home and Museum is a Greek Revival house set on 168 acres in Smyrna, Tennessee, where visitors tour two historic homes, outbuildings, slave quarters, and a family cemetery. Guided tours allow guests to view over 100 of the Davis family's personal effects on display, offering insight into 19th-century life. The Visitor's Center and Museum are wheelchair accessible, with a ramp to the first floor of the Historic Home and pictures of the second floor available through tour guides. Printed translations of Sam's story are available for Japanese, Spanish, French, and German speakers. Service animals are permitted inside buildings. The site hosts living history programs featuring onsite stations; staff can assist visitors with sensory sensitivities by planning alternative tour routes and providing access to a quiet area. The museum publishes its admission prices online and maintains regular operating hours Monday through Saturday.
