About Earth Experience - Middle Tennessee Museum of Natural History
Earth Experience is the first natural history museum in Middle Tennessee, located in Murfreesboro and offering interactive exhibits about the region's natural history. Visitors can see a working paleontology laboratory where real dinosaur bones are cleaned and repaired, and a molding and casting operation that creates dinosaur displays. The museum displays Tennessee fossils, rocks, gems, minerals, and dinosaur bones alongside archeological relics. A centerpiece is Frank, a 38-foot-long T. Rex skeleton. Hands-on activities let visitors touch dinosaur bones, petrified wood, rocks, and minerals. The museum operates Wednesday through Saturday, with admission charged at published rates and children under three admitted free. A gift shop offers pieces of Middle Tennessee history for purchase.
