About Ridge Route Communities Museum

Ridge Route Communities Museum in Frazier Park preserves the history and artifacts of the mountain regions south of Bakersfield and north of Castaic. The museum's exhibit room displays a limited collection of photographs and historical items from the area's past, including artifacts related to the Interior Chumash people who inhabited the western reaches of Frazier Mountain. Visitors can view these exhibits and access extensive research files covering subjects relevant to the mountain communities. The museum's collections span the geographic area from Wheeler Ridge on the north to below Pyramid Lake on the south, and from Neenach in the West Antelope Valley to the Lockwood-Ozena areas to the west. The Ridge Route Communities Historical Society has maintained this museum since 1993 as a dedicated repository for local history research and preservation.
