About Regenstein Center

The Regenstein Learning Campus in Glencoe invites visitors to explore nature through hands-on learning across multiple facilities. The centerpiece is a 26,700-square-foot Learning Center housing indoor and outdoor classrooms, a nature laboratory, and the ITW Kitchen. The Nature Play Garden features rolling hills and multisensory gardens designed for exploration and discovery. Butterflies & Blooms, a 2,800-square-foot mesh enclosure, displays 56 species of butterflies and insects in flight among flowering plants. The Grunsfeld Children's Growing Garden contains six raised beds where visitors can see, smell, and touch plants while learning to grow food. The Learning Center emphasizes natural light and sustainable design, including 83 solar panels and rainwater capture systems. The campus opens daily and serves people of all ages and abilities, from preschoolers in the Nature Preschool program to adult learners exploring the grounds.
