The Philadelphia Skating Club and Humane Society, founded in 1849 as America's first skating club, operates a figure skating facility in Ardmore where visitors skate on high-quality ice designed specifically for figure skating. The rink features abundant natural light, a wall of mirrors, and no boards or hockey teams. Visitors can participate in Learn to Skate group lessons for tots, kids, teens, and adults of all experience levels, or join public skating sessions on Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons.
