About Oceanside SEA Center

Oceanside SEA Center operates a fleet of five fishing and whale watching vessels in Oceanside, California. Visitors board boats such as the Blue Horizon and Sea Star to pursue sportfishing for bass, barracuda, bonito, yellowtail, tuna, and dorado on half-day, three-quarter-day, and overnight trips. The center also offers whale watching tours limited to six passengers, led by a USCG Licensed Captain and accredited marine biologist, where visitors may observe whales, dolphins, sea lions, mola mola, swordfish, and sharks during approximately ninety-minute excursions on state-of-the-art inflatable crafts. The Blue Horizon features side-scanning sonar, fish finders, live tanks, refrigeration, and accommodates up to fourteen people with meal service available. Floating Science Programs aboard the Sea Star teach youngsters about marine biology and the Oceanside Harbor environment. An on-site tackle shop sells fishing licenses, tackle, bait, and supplies including brands such as SunBum, I-SEA, and Cobian. Private charters are available for families, groups, and special events.
