The Norton Air Force Base Museum in San Bernardino preserves the history of Norton Air Force Base, which operated from 1942 to 1994 as a logistics depot and heavy-lift transport facility. Visitors explore exhibits highlighting the people, missions, and impact of the base through displays about Airmen, civilians, and families who served there. The museum features a flight simulator allowing guests to experience flying, and visitors can view a UFO encounter cartoon created by a former base member documenting a 1977 incident at the main gate. A Veterans Monument stands on the museum grounds with memorial bricks available for placement. The 63rd/445th Norton Veterans Group, comprising former officers, enlisted aircrew, maintenance technicians, and civil servants, participates in museum activities and community functions.
