About Historical Glass Museum

The Historical Glass Museum occupies a 1903 Victorian-style home in Redlands, California, and preserves American-made glassware from factories past and present. Visitors explore six rooms displaying Depression glass, Elegant glass, Mid-Century Modern pieces, Carnival glass, EAPG (Early American Pattern Glass), and Brilliant Cut glass. Trained volunteer docents greet guests and guide them through the collections, answering questions about the various display cases. The museum houses the largest collection of American-made glass west of the Rocky Mountains. A well-stocked gift shop offers items that are either duplicates from the permanent collection or pieces donated to support the museum's operations. Group tours are available by request. The museum, founded in 1976 by glass collectors dedicated to preserving specimens from extinct and contemporary factories, welcomes visitors during weekend hours.
